I try to meet clients in person before booking to make sure we jive- it’s good for me, and it’s good for you, and often I end up walking into a meeting wearing my photog hat and leave wearing my friendly “let’s totally grab a beer!” hat. It’s awesome.
Meeting Kait was one of those perfect storms where not only did we hit it off… but she loves beer, let me into the magical brew-loving secret that is Treehouse Brewing, and she brought her NEW PUPPY (one of two, the second pup was at home experiencing some separation therapy)! Kait is driven and positive, with a warm aura and a real zest for life. If there is an efficient way to crack the safe to my heart, I gaurantee that combining my two favorite things (brews and pups) with a genuine and warm personality (which is so evident in Kait) is a sure-fire way to not only get in, but spark a serious girl-crush.
Thor, her adorable new fur baby made me melt, but hearing about her wedding, which she and her fiancé, Spencer, rented out the entirety of Stony Creek Brewery for, was like POW! Inspiration!
We chatted for a while and decided to follow their love of crafty IPAs to Treehouse Brewing in Sturbridge, MA for their engagement session. Treehouse Brewing is unique because not only are they true artisans when it comes to quality brews, but you can only taste their selection or purchase cans at their facility. They don’t sell to retail locations or bars, and you better believe I left with a collection of cans for me and the hubs to enjoy at home.
